It told the movie in very subtle words that doesn't ruin the effect of a person that hasn't seen it. It gives them the idea of what it is about, without telling it all and ruining the movie for them. I also agree that man, there were times in this movie that I didn't like how the King was allowing things to happen, then Anna would jump in to correct, only to find out that she was the one that actually made things worse.
