I think this search engine is average and does not do the job for me. The content of the excite search is mostly unrelated to what I searched for. I definitely do NOT recommend excite to anyone who is looking for good content.
I have used excite at school and it does not get an A+ at all. I use Yahoo for everything I need search wise. Excite is good for an all use startup page but for a professional search use Yahoo. Excite is better than Lycos but not as good as Google or Yahoo. Bottom line Use excite for your startup page, not your search engine.
