Pros: Freshened up a stale car well.
Cons: Too sweet-smelling for heavy duty use in small areas.
The Bottom Line: This seems like a good product but I did not like how it smelled and it underperformed in our litterbox area.

In a home with two cats and a dog, one thing we are always on the lookout for are products that eliminate odor. Our most problematic area is always where the litterbox lives, but we have other places that could use some freshening up as well, particularly our Toyota Highlander which is our workhorse of a car, hauling all kinds of things around, including recyclables to the dump which can sometimes be smelly. So when I received a bottle of Simply WoW Triple Action Odor Annihilator from Source Direct to use and review, I set about the house armed with the 22 ounce plastic bottle, ready to spray the trigger on anything and everything that smells!
About Simply WoW Odor Annihilator
This product claims that it will annihilate odor by "removing the source of the odor". It didn't actually remove the cats, thankfully. Instead it claims to remove the "organisms that send off molecules" which are the cause of the odor. It seems to do this with a form of bacteria, so the label has some interesting warnings: don't let the product freeze, in fact it should be stored at room temperature, don't get it into open cuts or sores (yikes!) and wash your hands after using it. The whole "bacteria" concept makes me wonder if there's some kind of limitation on the lifespan of this product (and the little bacteria guys that are in it) but I found no expiration date on the bottle.
Using Simply WoW Odor Annihilator
Using the product is simple enough. The directions instruct the user to apply the product liberally over the surface you want to deodorize and "agitate" with a wet cloth or sponge. Then you should rinse the surface with a wet sponge to clean the stain. The odor should be gone within ten minutes.
How Well It Works
I tried this product in two stinky places: the litterbox room and our car.
Our "litterbox room" is actually an out-of-the-way closet downstairs underneath one of our staircases with a hardwood floor. Ever since we put in a cat door so the cats could let themselves in and out without the door being fully opened, smell has been a problem. Our cats never hit anywhere outside the litterbox, but the general "funk" of cat litter lives inside the closet. I cleaned out the cat box and then sprayed the Simply WoW product along the floor, which is where I usually use Nature's Miracle to remove the odor.
The first thing I noticed was that the Simply WoW product had a strong smell (the label calls it a "Clean Scent"). It's not a bad, evil smell like the cat litter stink, but it is a very sweet smell. I did not like the smell of the product at all. I wiped down the floor and then grabbed a new wet rag to wipe it clean again (a step I don't have follow with Nature's Miracle). The bottle claims that the odors disappear within ten minutes.
After ten minutes I checked the area and took a whiff and well, all I smelled was the still-too-sweet-smell of Simply WoW. Was the odor gone? I honestly couldn't tell because the fragrance from the product was all I could smell. After a day the product fragrance subsided and well, the stale, litterbox-room odors were back. Of course, they usually rebound rather quickly, what with the constant litterbox use of the cats, but it was really a tossup.
The second place I tried the product was out in our Highlander where the smell of the car had become stale and rather dank. In this area I used the product more sparingly, spraying the seats lightly and then wiping them down. Then I went to the back of the car to the rubber cargo mat we have down to protect the carpet. The cargo mat is a source of bad smells itself, as the rubber just stinks after awhile. I sprayed and wiped down the carmat as well.
The lighter application of the product meant that the sickly sweet smell was much less intense, and out in the open air it even bordered on "mildly pleasant". The smells in the car seemed to dissipate pretty quickly, and a few days later when the scent of the Simply WoW product was gone, the other smells seemed to be nearly gone as well.
Summary
All in all, Simply WoW did well in the car with a light application, but not so well in the house with a concentrated application in a small space.
I think that this is an interesting and good product, and one that I will probably use out in the car until it runs out. I would prefer a different scent, however.
Many thanks to Source Direct for providing me this product so I could write an unbiased review for Epinions.
