gateway 450x worked for 2 days after delivery

The Bottom Line Tech support is poor and not very knowledgable, quality and/or quality control is poor. Would not recommend.
.I recieved a gateway 450x,It took one month to arrive. It looked and felt very 'cheap', the plastic molding around the lcd was loose and the cdrw drive was woobly, It was also about as noisy as an old desktop, the load fan was going off every 5 minutes. I had 6 BSOD(blue screens crashes) in the first day, tech support had no clue whatsoever how to resolve that and just left me on hold for about an hour. But that was ok, until on day 2 after delivery the computer ceased to function at all. It would not turn on with or without the battery while plugged in with the AC adapter nor would it power on with just the battery. Tech support at the gateway store said it was a bad motherboard. offer to send it in to repair, said it would take a week to get the labels to ship it back and the a few weeks to repair,I decided to return it for a refund. Understandably I wasn't too impressed with thier quality.
Also most of the tech support people weren't very knowlegable about the product. Customer service is even worse. every time you contact them you have to re-explain the entire situation, and rather than solve the situation I was told numerous times to contact someone else who in turn told me to contact someone else, etc and so on.
Customer service is poor and disorganized, more interesed to getting you off the phone with them than solving issues.
