The Bottom Line: Only get it if you have hours upon hours of your time to waste on being very angry with them.

OK, I got the six months free with one year contract deal last year. Halfway through signing up for my account, I lost their connection. So I went back and tried again. It wouldn't let me into the first account I had created, so I started a new one (I hadn't even finished setting up the first account). Again, the connection was dropped before it was done. When I went in again, it let me back into the first one, when it hadn't let me in before. So I finished with that one, and all was good.

About eight months later, a little bit after they've begun charging me, I noticed that they were charging me twice. Thinking this was an error, I called them, and they informed me I had two accounts with them. Um, no, I did not. It was their crappy software that set me up with two accounts. Anyway, I had it canceled, then had to jump through hoops to get my money back. That was in April.

I contacted them the other day through their online support service to find out about my credits (I should have been getting three months worth of charges back). They informed me that I had been denied for the full amount after finding the account "valid", and that I was only authorized for two credits. Fine, when was I getting those two credits? Keep in mind, I had talked to several other representatives before this to make sure that the credit was put through, and I was assured many, many times that it was. This person tells me that I wasn't given credit b/c I was never charged for the months I was supposed to get credit. Excuse me? So then I had to pay $10 to get my bank to reprint my bank statements to prove to MSN that they had charged me. Turns out they didn't charge me for one of the months, but they had for the other. So I called back twice last night trying to get this fixed, and their software kept going down. So I called back today, only to find out that they can't issue credit on a closed account, and that I have to send them transcript of the conversation I had the other day online as proof that I was told that I would get credit, plus the copy of the bank statement where I was charged.

This is ridiculous. I'm going to try and make them reimburse me for the $10 I had to spend to get my statements again, but I seriously doubt they'll do that.

the customer service representatives that I've been in contact with have all been very friendly, but not of any help whatsoever. I've been running in circles with them for the past four months, and I'm very, very tired of it. Don't bother with MSN, there are better options.
