The Bottom Line thank you for adding this category, i think it is a great idea.
these are from my earliest attepts at writing poetry, I wrote them in fifth grade!
The Flower
Amid the snow
and the barren tundra
in the middle of sorrow
Admist the dreary sky
and the starless twilight
is a miracle
a bit of color
a spectacular sight
it breaks through the hard
dirt
bursting through to freedom
Amid the freezing earth
blooms a flower.
The Baby's Eyes
Suprisingly clear
and trusting
bright as jewels and
Sparkling with Delight
Flitting around, inspecting
this new wonderful world
Only mirroring
loving faces and cooing
pople
Enchanted with the miracle of life
Not yet shadowed
by doubt and horror
falsehood and dishonor
The Strongest, Yet Purest Gaze of
all creation.
My Teddy Bear
My teddy bear
is ripped and torn...
he looks so forlorn.
But between you and me,
the missing eye
the missing stuffing you see
is merely an act of
love.
