| lorace's Full Review: Simply WoW® Tuff Buff |
Simply WoW has come out with an All Organic, Waterless Wash-n-Wax, touted on the label, for cars. It is called Simply Wow® Tuff Buff. Tuff Buff can be used on the paint, the wheels, the windows (even aftermarket tinted windows) and for chrome, on automobiles, motorcycles, etc.
The product comes in a 22 Fl.oz white bottle with a black, on or off, sprayer and green and yellow label, if you're looking for it on a merchant's shelf.
What is Different about Tuff Buff?
Well, for one thing, it's All Organic, which simply means it has No acids or other ingredients to render it harmful to your vehicles. The bottle itself is recyclable and has an interesting neck with 3 indentations for your fingers.
This product is made in the U.S.A., and sports an American Flag to indicate such. It comes with a Money Back Guarantee.
Using Tuff Buff
It's simple to use, simply wow, indeed. Just take the bottle and a few soft rags out to your vehicle and get started.
Got bird droppings? Never fear, Tuff Buff is here! Simply open the nozzle and spray. This comes out in one steady stream and is colorless and, to me, odorless. Then use a rag and buff it, turning as needed, and the offending stuff is gone.
My husband mentioned that Ammonia will do the same thing, but I reminded him that Ammonia would not leave a shine like Tuff Buff does! He agreed.
Got chrome? Very few new cars seem to have much chrome, but our '92 Olds Regency has plenty of the pretty trimmings, and Tuff Buff does a beautiful job of restoring the gleaming appearance around the windows, along the sides, etc.
Got Wheels? Ours are made of an aluminum alloy and, though they're attractive, they usually look dull. I was amazed to see how much black stuff came off of them when I tuff-buffed them. It was easy to do and they looked a lighter shade, and though they didn't end up with a high gloss, they did gleam a little.
Got Other Body Problems? Someone spilled something on the trunk of our car, leaving dull, sort of yellow spots. We tried Tuff Buff on them, but, even after 3 or 4 tries, the spots remain, perhaps a little duller because of the way the paint shines now, but this was disappointing. It's not a miracle-worker.
Need Another Use? This product is for hard surfaces, so my husband tried it on the black backboard of our kitchen range. This is a sneaky part of the stove and collects dust and grease. He sprayed and wiped it and we both were very pleased. It cleaned it very well and left if with a glossy shine. It looked better than it ever had with any other product.
Final Analysis
Have you ever watched Keeping Up Appearances on PBS? The wife, Hyacinth is forever nagging Richard, her husband about spots on the car. Poor Richard is forever running out to the car and rubbing here and there on it so he won't get into hot water with the shrew.
He'd love this stuff, this Tuff Buff, and, perhaps, Hyacinth would notice and say, "Wow!" I'd hope so.
I think it does a good job but I don't really see the need for the product though, unless one is overly finicky. It certainly doesn't replace a wash and wax job, nor does it pretend to.
I'm in a quandary. I can't praise it too much, nor can I put it down. Simply Wow® Tuff Buff does what it says it will do, but don't expect it to exceed your expectations.
If you're extra particular about your car, carry a bottle of this Tuff Buff in the trunk. That's what we're going to do and it will be great for emergencies of the miserable sort. I'll update this if we find out we can't do without it and/or plan to buy another bottle.
I received this free bottle and sprayer from Source Direct in exchange for my unbiased Epinion. I thank them, and have enjoyed trying it out.
