This is another one of those games my husband wanted and I had no desire in playing. Until of course I sat down and watched him. Now I have vowed not to stop until I have beaten my husband at every scenario!
You are the owner/accountant/ride designer of your own theme park. When you begin a scenario, the game tells you very clearly what your particular goal is. For instance, one of the first scenarios may say "Your goal is to have 600 guests in your park with a rating of at least 600 by October year 2." Now, that may sound easy enough. Well, it is! As you finish your goals and move on to different theme parks with new scenarios, it gets a little trickier. Each one is harder than the last, but you should get experience enough to handle it all.
In order to get the number of guests, HAPPY guests, into your park take a bit of thought. You need to hire mechanics to fix your rides if they break down and security guards to monitor the ner-do-wells that may be wandering waiting to break a park bench. You also should hire workers to clean up after your guests if they go on rides that may not agree with their stomachs, if you know what I mean! You could also hire some people to dress up as elephants, panda bears, or tigers to entertain people standing in lines, before they get upset and leave.
Now you can either design your own roller coaster or pick one that has already been made. It takes some practice to build a quality coaster, but it is so much fun! Just think of what you would love to ride on and make it come to life. But don't make it too intense or people won't want to ride on it. Besides roller coaster, you can also include in your park some more calm rides like a merry-go-round or a spiral slide. There are also a wide range of restaurants for your guests to enjoy.
This game has so much I want to talk about, but I should stop so you can go to the store and buy it!
