I love cosmetics and I enjoy shopping directly from the brands' online store whenever possible. I find they generally have great customer service and more variety. Although I adore Sephora and will always shop on that site for all kinds of stuff, I jump from brand site to brand site as well.
I have shopped at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics for years and have never had a bad experience.
What the Site Sells
Bobbi Brown is a famous make up artist and cosmetic manufacturer. It is not the Bobby Brown who is/was married to Whitney Huston although several people seem to think it is. (For one, Bobbi is female.)
The site sells the full line of Bobbi Brown cosmetics, skin care, fragrance, accessories, and some baby items.

Lately, the site has been slow loading for me and switching categories takes time too. I'm not sure if it is my browser or their site but I definitely noticed a slowing of the site over the last several months when I use Netscape. When I use Internet Explorer, it is much faster so I suggest you us IE when you shop on the site.
The site offers the following categories: Makeup, Skincare, Tools & Accessories, Fragrance, Baby, Best Sellers and, for the holidays, they have a Holiday Best Sellers category.
You can also browse What's New, Looks & Tips, About Bobbi, and Ask an Artist.
There are drop down boxes to browse certain products and a keyword search box.
You can write to an artist about shade choices or ask other questions or talk live to a rep who will help you out with any questions you may have. They are knowledgeable and you will not get any type of hard sell when you talk to a rep. They simply steer you toward the right product for your particular needs.
Photos are luscious. I love looking at sharp, colorful photos of great cosmetics and skin care products and this site has plenty of those.
Pick your shade if necessary and add it to your cart. Continue until your shopping is done.
If you are registered with the site, you can zip through checkout with your email address and password. If not, you can opt to register or continue on, filling out your name and address as well as email address.
Shipping is dependent on the order amount. You can choose between standard, two day, and overnight shipping - with escalating fees.
Chose a shipping method, enter your credit card details, and you are done.
You will get a confirmation screen and email. A shipping email will follow and your products will be at your doorstep in less than a week - often just a few days.
My Experience
I have shopped on this site many times over the years. I have never had any problems and customer service is very accommodating. I have returned items and exchanged things, all painlessly and with ease.
Packing is nicely done and I have received samples with all my orders.
I am not thrilled with the shipping costs but I usually end up getting free shipping because I order over $75.00 worth of products (I'm a cosmetics junkie!). Shipping starts at $5.00 and goes to $10.00 at $100.00 and up. However, they offer free shipping over $75.00 most of the time meaning shipping will be as high as $8.00 and then convert to free.
I hate that I am charged tax but, when you live in New York State, it seems you are charged tax on most sites. Yeck.
Otherwise, I have been very pleased with all my transactions. Even at holiday time, my orders arrived quickly and packaged well. The products are high quality and better than described most of the time.
I always get to pick a nice sized sample to be included with my order as well. I love those deluxe samples!
I have not had a bad experience or a mix up in my orders over the course of the three or four years I have been shopping on the site. Can't ask for more than that!
Shipping and Returns
Currently, shipping is free for orders over $75.00. It starts at $5.00 and goes to $10.00 for orders over $100.00 when shipping isn't free.
There are two expedited shipping methods that are higher priced.
Returns are accepted for a refund or exchange on everything for whatever reason. You won't get shipping returned, of course, but you will get your exchange shipped free to you. You can mail the items back with the preprinted return label or call customer service to alert them of the return.
I have never had a problem with a return or an exchange throughout the years.

Conclusion
Bobbi Brown cosmetics are expensive and high end, but some of them are so good, they are well worth paying for. I go straight to the official site for my Bobbi Brown purchases. I have had nothing but positive experiences on the site and customer service is excellent.
They stand behind their products and will accept any products for a return or exchange for any reason. That is plus when buying higher end products that you aren't 100% sure you will like.
I can't think of many cons on this site. Perhaps shipping could be a flat $5.00 under the $75.00 threshold but, really, it is not exorbitant. It is very easy to reach that $75.00 free shipping threshold with prices like Bobbi Brown charges!
