We bought our Ram van a few years back when we seen it on a dealership lot recently traded in. We practically stole the thing for what my husband still gets laughing reviews from... "four thousand out the door" is what he told the salesman. We needed something that would hold our five kids, three good size rough boys, a seven year old girl,a dog, and a baby. We have the side sliding door that has held up until now. We managed to break the latching mechanism on the back of the door, but all in all, 10 years old, this van has taken it's beating! We have looked all over for a replacement, the ones we come across aren't for sale... we live in Michigan, and take this van all the time between Louisville, Kentucky, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! we did have a hard time with larger people fitting into the back, but if you want rugged, this is it! same suspension, even our tires have made three trips through the Ozarks! the A/C my husband has recharged, the water pump, and ball joints have been replaced. That has been it. I love driving something that even though it only gets about 15 MPG, its sound around our kids, and sits higher than the maniacs on our expressways. We had a Pontiac Montana, and that was harder to load. We couldn't fit anything in that, and it wasn't durable with the kids. we couldn't have paid enough to get rid of it 27,000 later! UGH! We only have the two bench seats in the back, so we can only hold 8, which gave us plenty of room to load two tool boxes, and four large suitcases for our trips. (The last trip, we bought a large outdoor umbrella in Oklahoma, and slid it under the seats for the ride home!) 150,000 miles strong, a few rust holes now, but I would load the kids and plunder through the Ozarks of Missouri in a snow storm right now, than trust my kids in anything else! Gotta jump to get in it, which isn't too pretty in a dress! I don't mind. Hauls our 19 foot boat all summer long! Thanks Chrysler! WE LOVE OUR RAM TOUGH! even if it is yucky red! LOL! If you want anything easier, buy a school bus!

I need a vehicle that can carry that many. Okay, may a little less on people but since we powwow alot, our dance outfits take up alot of room. It is difficult to get it all into our van.
