I switched from Verizon wireless to Sprint about 6 months ago. My Verizon contract was up, and I wanted a plan that offered free long distance. After doing some research, I found that Sprint offers not only nationwide long distance, but that you can use the phone while traveling and not have any roaming charges. I am from Connecticut and I have used my phone in Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, and most recently in Chicago Illinois!
This is a great benefit because when you are traveling, because you can not only call family and friends, but you can call the places you want to visit and make reservations, or ask questions. All for free!
Since the Sprint plans state how many minutes you are given per month, I wanted to be sure that I would not exceed my limit. By looking at 6 months of previous bills from Verizon, I was able to determine that I do not use my cell phone much more than 500 minutes/month. I based my plan upon this information. The range of services and service plans that Sprint offers is excellent. The service is very clear since it is all digital, and the phone will basically work anywhere-although you will get charged if it is roaming.
You are also able to order products and services on the web site. The web site is fully-equipped and enables you to pay bills, check available minutes, and use web messaging.
If you're in the market for a new cell phone, or a new plan....I recommend at least checking out Sprint PCS!
