AC/DC in Madison

The Bottom Line If you haven't seen them you should, they blew me away.

What can i say? AC/DC is without a doubt, one of, if not the best hard rock band ever and when i heard they would be coming back to Wisconsin, i knew i was going to see them. August 2000: A friend tells me he's going to an AC/DC concert in Milwaukee, but only because his friend's dad has an extra ticket. I could not believe it, he did not even want to go, but did. I would have paid double for the damn thing, but got screwed and did not go. Jump to April 2001: I hear that they are coming back, and another of my favorite bands, "Buckcherry" would be opening for them, needless to say, i was as happy as a little school girl. I ordered tickets right away. We made our way down to the concert, at the Kohl Center in Madison, but, it did not turn out the way we thought. On the way down, there was an announcement on the radio that the concert was going to be canceled because Brian Johnson the singer of AC/DC was having throat problems, i could not believe it! I was going to miss, maybe my only time to see two of my favorite bands in one concert. Well, after wards, it was said that they were going to reschedule the concert for May 11th. When the 11th rolled around, i really could not wait to see them, this was going to be great. The night of the concert, we got there a little early, about 2 hours early and there was already a big line to get in, but what the hell, i was going to AC/DC! As we were waiting for the show to start, i was excited to see Buckcherry, i had never seen them live before and now was my chance, or so i thought. The opening band came onstage and i was like, "what the hell? this is NOT Buckcherry!" The opening band was some crappy three man garage band that really, for lack of a better term, sucked. Well, after that atrocity, AC/DC finally took the stage. They ripped through almost all of there classics, opening with You Shook Me All Night Long and finished with For Those About To Rock... It was a great concert and i wanted there to be more, it was extremely loud and it was the only time i can honestly say that i loved being deaf and hoarse for about 2 days. And the best part you ask? Well, what person in the world can say that they have a song from their favorite band named for them by their favorite band? I do...T.N.T., my initials.
