Thank you for referring me to this product. I have been searching the internet all day to find a gas fire pit or fire pit table. None of then met my functional,aesthetic, and/or price range. The triangle fire pit fits the first two criteria & I have emailed for a brochure to inquire about the prices. I hope they are within my budget..

And by the way Skip there really is no need to be such a pompous jerk to someone who is trying to help the general public. If you want to go ahead and suffer burns from your irresponsible behavior go for it! However people like myself who barely know how to light the grill on the deck, can very much benefit from INFORMATIVE reviews such as the one by the Gasman. All you've covered is your BS title, the fact that your outdoorsy.

You have no idea how much "..some of the big shot gas appliance manufacturers hate" me, but in all modesty, I do receive many more positive responses, from consumers, to some of the reviews I have written. Those make it all worthwhile, as do your kind comments.
I do know that a number of people have changed their minds about buying an unvented fireplace due to my reviews and a few have even had them removed, in favor of vented versions. In my opinion, those numbers represent, at the very least, a number of families living in healthier homes.
Although I thank you for your complimentary thoughts, I could never conceive of you being regarded as an ignorant consumer. I think we are all a little ignorant on different products, and subjects, which I suppose is one of the founding purposes for sites such as Epinions. We each come away with a little more information than we arrived with and if we can share it, to our neighbor's benefit, so much the better.

some of the big shot gas appliance manufacturers hate you, but the consumers who are interested in such products have got to love you. Who knows how many lives and dollars might have been saved because somebody read one of your reviews? I have always been angry and frightened by the way some manufacturers get so carried away by the eye appeal of a product that they ignore safety...and how many of us believe it if we see something that looks good in pictures. The simple "follow directions" advice gets the manufacturer off the hook, but doesn't help those of us who haven't been educated to recognize the dangers. On behalf of the ignorant consumers of the world, I thank you, Gas Man.
