I finally decided to get myself a MacBook. I went to the website, because I wanted to take advantage of the free shipping, upgrade abilities, and free printer rebate.. and I was having trouble getting a certain option to work on the site.
Up at the top, there was a banner to call apple or.. click to chat?
So. I clicked to chat.
I was instantly connected to a "Apple Expert" Who asked me tons of questions, without asking too many questions... Told me about a deal on my .Mac account that I was buying anyway, and stayed with me through the whole purchase.
Having a real live person with me through the whole process was amazing. It was like having a customer service representative on the phone with me, without being on the phone, especially with someone "overseas". He even told me a joke!
At first I thought it was one of those "bots" that are programmed to tell you what you think you need to know, but when he made a Typo, I knew it was for real.
Imagine the awesome service I am going to get when christmas comes around and I've got someone right there, at my desktop.
Way to go Apple!
