Background:
As a student at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst until 2003, I had never heard of Bed Bath and Beyond. Linens and Things was the local store for such needs and as a poor college student, I often shopped at Walmart. Much has changed in the past four years after moving to a location where there is a Bed Bath and Beyond and meeting my husband who believes in quality, not quantity.
Since that time, I have shopped at Bed Bath and Beyond a number of times and used the Online Store as well.

What You Will Find There:
Bed Bath and Beyond has all types of Kitchen, Bedroom, Living Room, Dinning Room and Bathroom products. From sheets to curtains, dishes to cookware, shower curtains to trash barrels and more.
Some of the products I have received from the online store include: pot holders, tea kettle, coffee maker, photo frames and photo clocks, throw pillows, cooking utensils, trays, curtains, soap dispenser, tooth brush holder, lamps, manicure set, foot spa, and much more.
Homepage and Navigation:
The homepage has a search bar to find items quickly. Also, from the homepage one can get an idea of the products and services available.
From the homepage I can enter my own wedding registry or find someone else's registry. There are regular shopping options, but also a college store page, which has items specifically for dorm room decor. Other services include: gift cards, wish list, creating an account, checking on an order, and more.
Finding products include such tabs as: What's new, gifts, bedding, bath, kids, home decor and more. In clicking on one of these items, the viewer is brought to a page with a break down of that category. For example, clicking on bedding brings me to a page where I can search by the desired item: sheets, comforter, quilts, pillows and more. I can also look at the featured items for that category or look at clearance items.
I find Bed Bath and Beyonds search options one of the easiest online stores to use. Navigation is a breeze; anyone can find their desired item quickly or browse through the different options for such categories.
Also, in having a registry, I have found that it is easy to compare different brands of the same item, select items and add them to my registry. Subtract items from my registry. See what has been purchased in my registry. I also had a wedding registry at Target and Fredrick's of Hollywood. Of these Bed Bath and Beyond has been the easiest to maneuver. Registries can be set up in the store or online. They can be controlled by going back to the store, calling, or using the online store.
My First of Many Online Experiences at B3:
My first Bed Bath and Beyond Online story begins in the store when I found out that several of the leftover items on my bridal registry were only available online. No problem the customer service representative said as she took down my information and the items I wanted to order from the online store.
She brought me to the store computer and walked me through the online purchasing experience. The site it self is well organized with different menus for each department of the store, which I ran the mouse over to see each group in that department. The items were easy to find online by putting the item name, type, or item code in the search box. Even without the representative, the online store was easy to maneuver through.
Okay, here are the highlights:
1) I was also able to use all of my 20% off coupons with the 5 items I purchased. (The coupons despite having an expiration date never actually expire, you can use up to 5 at a time, and they take their competitors expired coupons too.)
2)THE BIG ONE - I did not have to pay shipping because I ordered it at the store.
3) I was still able to track my order online and was given a confirmation to do this from home.
4) The order arrived UPS without having to pay additional costs
5) The order arrived within 5 days despite advertising 2 weeks.
6) The order came packaged well, accurate, and in top condition
Why I have Continued to Shop B3:
- In regards to gift registry: I registered in the store, but could then switch things around online. I tracked my registry purchases online.
- All of my registry items, which were bought online, also came UPS and packed unbreakably well. All the items I received from friends came with a note stating who bought the item for me, and the name of the item, without stating the cost of the item (good for gifts).
- And finally the best thing about buying something on the online store, you can easily return it to the store or ship it back to the company. Trust me I am an expert at returning things since my wedding and registry are over.
