Pros: Continuous hot water, Small and compact
Cons: May have to replace some pipes due to requirements, Takes awhile to get hot water
The Bottom Line: If your not worried about an endless supply of hot water then I would probably stick to the traditional tank waterheaters. If you want continuous hot water go for it.

| susieq112's Full Review: Bosch AquaStar 125B NG Natural Gas Tankless Water ... |
When I first purchased my house everything needed to be replaced. Down in the crawl space among more important things that didn't work was an old (very old) waterheater still in somewhat useable condition. And there it sat up until about 10 months ago.
When I began my search for a new waterheater I knew I wanted more hot water, so I was considering a larger tank, but then I found this hot waterheater at my local Sutherlands. At $500.00 I thought about it for awhile. But, eventually decided that the extra $200 would be worth just to know that I wouldn;t run out of hot water. In our house we were running out of hot water in the shower in about 15 to 20 mintues...
When I purchased the waterheater at Sutherlands I also met a guy that worked there and had installed some of these wateheaters for other people. I hired him to install it, he charged around $200.
The only main problem I have had with this water heater was within the month after having it installed. Very often the pilot light would go out. We ended up putting the thermostat down on it a bit after numerous trips to the crawl space to relight the pilot light. Since then we haven't had a problem with the waterheater and it works great. Another slight problem with this waterheater is the time it takes to get hot water. And particuarlly in our bathroom sink, where the water pressure is quite a bit lower there than anywhere else it is barely enough to meet the threshold to ignite the burners, which means it takes even longer to get hot water.
I myself have noticed a jump in our water bill, but we also had an addition to the family about 6 months ago, so I'm not laying all the blame on the waterheater. However since you do have to "wait" for the heat, do expect a small jump in your waterbill.
