I'll preface this by saying I have no conflicts of interest with Vision Direct and no reason to write this other than the fact that I was impressed with my experience and would recommend the company to anyone with needs similar to mine.
My insurance benefit didn't renew in time for me to get new contacts, so I had to buy on my own. My health care provider sells the lenses I need — 2-week disposables with a very general prescription — for $20 for a box of 6. Through Vision Direct, I got medically-equivalent lenses made by Bausch and Lomb for $11.95 for a box of 6. (An 8-box special offer, but they were still only $12.95 per box otherwise.) I ordered them on a Thursday and received them four days later via free U.S. Mail shipping, exactly as ordered.
As this was the first time I bought lenses online, I had been a little nervous about the transaction, but all came out well. I'll definitely look to Vision Direct first when I need to re-order, but I'll also search around again for the best price. If it happens to be with this company, I'll have no reservations about buying from them again.
