And I suppose you think I didn't look into what you've just pitched before I switched, hey? Well for your information Cox does NOT offer that service in my area, or high speed internet access, or the 65 channels that are standard just a mile up the road. And they are never going to upgrade my area, just keep on ignoring us and raising the rent on the antiquated black boxes.

I resent your using MY opinion to pitch a sales speech for Cox. Personally I think Cox is one of the scariest monopolies in the USA today. They are rude, uncaring, full of lies, and so forth. 90 percent of the people I've ever dealt with at Cox are mean spirited. Don't try and convince me. I was just anxious as all get out to run away from them and their totally lousy service.

Please, if you want to pitch your company write your own opinion and stay away from mine. How rude! (But you did say you work for Cox, right?)

Being as I work for Cox (OK I'm biased) I just want to point out the fact that Cox offers services that are very competitive to what you describe. Digital Cable on two TVs (no dish or equipment purchase needed) with 200+ channels including 45 music channels rather than 30, plus 9 HBOs, 12 Digital Starz, 6 Cinemax, and 6 Showtime would cost $88.52 a month plus tax in most areas. Not much more than you quoted, and you didn't mention how many movie channels you're receiving. Service calls are free, tech support is local, and you won't get stuck with a $90 reconditioning fee when your box doesn't work as a friend of mine did.

Bundling your cable with other Cox products offers additional savings. High speed internet access can be had for $35 a month, and phone service for $12 (about $8 less than the local phone company). On top of that you get a $10 a month credit if you have all three services.

All in all, Dish service just can't match Cox value.
