Christmas cookies would not be the same without these oatmeal cookies that mom used to make. Recipe 1 CUP FLOUR 3/4 TEASPOON SODA 1/2 TEASPOON SALT 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON 1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG MEASURE INTO BOWL AND SET ASIDE 3/4 CUP SHORTENING 1 1/2 CUPS BROWN SUGAR 1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR 2 EGGS 1 TEASPOON VANILLA MIX TOGETHER UNTIL BLENDED. ADD FLOUR MIXTURE ,MIX FOR TWO MINUTES ADD 2 CUPS OATMEAL 1 CUP RAISINS (Try CRAN Raisins too) DROP HEAPING TEASPOONS ON COOKIE SHEETS. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 12-15 MINUTES, OR UNTIL DONE.
