I wrote another opinion about an Oyster blender that I really didn't like. The main reason is becuse the Oyster promised mega ice crushing power, but just spun the cubes around the jar without touching them.
This little cordless unit from Black & Decker, not only crushes ice perfectly, but does so quickly! Now this thing may not have all of the fancy features like 14 different speeds, or things like that. But, it does what it is supposed to do...crushes ice and makes great blended drinks.
Although this cordless unit is meant to be used at the beach, or pool, or at a BBQ, i use it as my standard home unit. I could care less about the cordless feature. I just love the fact that this blender works!
Some other great things about this blender are the plastic jar, and the small size, which makes for easy storage.

There are a few drawbacks. Due to its portability, the jar size is rather small. You can really only make 2 to 3 drinks at a time. Also, for some reason, the base gets dirty easily and is hard to clean.
