LINE DROP in a residential area all the time, WTF!!!
I live in Sunset area of San Francisco,
The WORST SPOT for SBC DSL.
I’ve been with them for over 8 years now, and past experience was ok, not too bad…even the customer service always sucks, 30minutes on the phone is like nothing, and they never get the changes done right away, it WAS still ok, because it’s cheap and stable most of the time until SUNSET!!! I upgraded to pro speed, and end up with more line drops… I call them, the said I am too far from their data center… they have to lower my speed from 3.0mbps to 786k or even lower… Well, the why the he** they charge me the same price, if you are going to lower me the speed, then lower my bill, foo!!!
It seems like they can’t do a thing about it. Well, if SBC know something called the signal booster, you can always install one for you big A*S network since SBC make millions and millions of dollars a year. I am sure Sunset’s connection was bad not because I am too far, it’s because TOO many DSL lines running in the same area, they should instead more hubs in the area with higher demand… This is Full BULL!!!
