This used to be my favorite search engine until I discovered Google. The main reason AltaVista is no good anymore is because its search database is very outdated. Because of this, results of a search usually include lots of irrelevant results. If AltaVista updated it search database just like Google has, it would probably still be my prefered search engine. It has many good features that Google lacks, but they're just not relevant enough, all because they dont update their database too often. Google on the other hand, updates almost every day! My website got indexed on Google almost immediately! I highly recommend Google over AltaVista.
