Pros: Action packed, great acting. Aston Martin DBS.
Cons: The movie ended.
The Bottom Line: Daniel Craig is the epitome of cool. The new era of James Bond has began and he is a streamlined, sleek badass.

A lot of people aren't giving Daniel Craig the time of day and I'm not sure why. He landed the role and is fit to play James Bond in the future. I was never a fan of Pierce anyway. The film opens with what has to be one of the coolest foot chase scenes of all time. The entire audience behind me was oohing and aahing.
The plot is relatively simple - there's a poker game hosted by Le Chiffre, a terrorist, where the stakes are pretty high: 150 million dollars at Casino Royale in Montenegro. They're sending James Bond to play in the game to win. If he loses, Bond's government will automatically be funding terrorists.
Casino Royale 007 is action packed held together by a simple plot. There's car chases, foot chases, explosions, deceit, some humor, and a lot of class.
The score to the film - done by David Henry - is amazing. The more I listen to it, the more I want to see the film again. James Bond has always been thought of as to be the ultimate cool guy - but I never really thought so until Daniel Craig rolled up on the scene.
James Bond ditches the high tech gadgets this year and sticks to the tried and true - guns, knifes and one dead sexy Aston Martin. Daniel Craig is the epitome of cool. The new era of James Bond has began and he is a streamlined, sleek badass.
I've read some other reviews here and most people complain that the film drags at some spots and runs a little long. I didn't get that feeling at all - I was totally engaged during the entire film.
I don't buy movies on DVD and can rarely sit through the same movie twice. But the fact is, when Casino Royale comes out on DVD, I will be purchasing it.
