The Bottom Line Uh.. just read.
Here we are again, one year after. We’ve matured a lot and we’ve grown as individuals. We have experienced things that have changed everything about us, the way we dress, the way we talk and the way we walk. We have fought and we have struggled to get here, but we made it. It’s time for another Music Mayhem write-off, hosted by SSlabs.
I guess you are all pretty familiar with the concept, so I’m not going to bother you with all the details. Tony aka Sslabs has asked the participants a lot of questions which they have to answer, and that’s basically it.
Music Celebrity Boxing Matches
Well, there are two people I can think of at the moment that I want to have celebrity boxing matches, deathmatches that is. The first fight is between Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. Lately I’ve been hearing that they have been talking about each other all the time and how much they hate each other. Britney Spears hates Christina for stealing her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake and Christina hates Britney for.. well, who knows really? I’ve never quite figured out what goes on in Christina’s brain.
In round 1 Britney hits Christina with her Cinderella dolls, and Christina falls unconscious to the floor. The dolls look exactly like Britney Spears, and they are just as big as well. See, according to Britney Spears herself, she is Cinderella. So she has just made duplicates of herself. After a few seconds, Christina awakens, and she is not happy. She releases the genie from its bottle, and the genie attacks Britney. It makes her do all kinds of nasty stuff, and she gets on her knees and sings I’m a slave 4 u to Christina. Then, all of a sudden Christina’s genie is killed by Britney singing I’m stronger than yesterday. Christina is shocked and sings Let’s get dirrty!
Britney responds by singing Sometimes I run, sometimes I hide, and suddenly she’s gone!
Christina is not happy with this, so she sings Ella Fitzgerald’s At Last, and when she reaches the highest pitch, all the glass in the room breaks, and Britney, who has been hiding in the chandelier, explodes and Christina has won the fight.
These Songs Reminds Me of These Epinions Writers
KristinaFH, I am always reminded of you when I hear Backstreet Boys and their song Get Another Boyfriend. Your review on the “Black and Blue” album was the first review I read on that album, and I remember that you liked that song so much that you made me listen to it all the time as well. It’s one of BSB’s best songs ever, and it’s one of the few BSB songs I still listen to.
Kuuleimomi, when I listen to Ani DiFranco and her song Swan Dive, I am reminded of you. You were the one that got me interested in Ani DiFranco, and thanks to you she is now one of my favorite artists.
DavidK93, whenever I listen to Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive, I think of you. It’s the most famous song for gays out there, and since you are gay, it’s natural for me to associate you with it, right?
Cletta1201, you are the one that got me interested in RES. Her song Golden Boys was one of the songs I listened to a whole lot this summer, and I always thought of you when I heard it. Thank you for making me a RES fan.
Van Halen or Van “Hagar”?
What the heck is a Van Hagar? Naaah.. I don’t think I’m going to answer this question, since I actually don’t know who Van Halen is either. *goes into his corner*
Proof That I’m A Music Junkie
Well, if you looked at my shelf you would see that I am most definitely a music junkie. I have around 500 CD’s total, and my computer is filled up with MP3’s. I listen to the MiniDisc all day long, and I know almost all the songs that have been made from 1997 up till this day.
Proof enough for ya?
Around what album did Michael Jackson stop looking like a human being?
I think it was somewhere between Thriller and Bad. Maybe being the biggest selling artist ever made him think that he had to be the best looking artist ever as well? It sure as hell gave him the exact opposite effect.
Incredibly Rich, Incredibly Untalented
This one is easy. The worst artist I have ever heard has to be Victoria Beckham, the Posh spice girl. I have no idea how she became so rich and got her beckingham palace and her four other castles; it definitely doesn’t reflect her talent.
Incredibly Talented, But Throwing It All Away
Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Has anyone heard the new single from Whitney? It has to be one of the worst songs I’ve heard this year, and Mariah Carey… she’s going to release her new single and album later this year. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t sound anything like Glitter. Whitney honey; why not try detoxification? You should at least try it when you are recording a new album, so that your album will be somewhat decent and actually sell at least some copies. Mariah baby; why not try to hook up with The Neptunes or DarkChild or something like that? And you don’t have to scream every 20 seconds!
Most Eagerly Anticipated Album
I have two of them. The first one is Scarlet’s Walk, the new album from Tori Amos which is to be released October 28th. The few songs from the album I have are so amazingly good, that I simply HAVE to buy that album the day it is released. The second album I am very much anticipating is Christina Aguilera and her new album Stripped. It probably sounds silly to actually anticipate it; but her new single Dirrty! is incredibly good, and so are the other songs off the album I have heard. It will hit the stores on October 28th, so I’m going to get that one together with Scarlet’s Walk. So should you!

HAH! Is that supposed to be a joke? I am immortal, so I will never have a funeral.
On My Play List When I’m Sad, Mad, and Glad
When I’m Sad I usually put on Tori Amos, Nick Cave or Nirvana.
When I’m Mad I put on Tori Amos (doesn’t matter what state of mind you are in, Tori will do the trick), Kelis or System of a down.
When I’m Glad I like to play Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne or Michelle Branch.
I remember when MTV……..
Was a US channel only, and I was jealous because I lived in Norway.
And In Conclusion
This has been the weirdest write off I have ever participated in. It was a very fun write off though, and if those idiots at Epinions bring Sslabs back, I would gladly join in next year as well.
Epinions, bring back Sslabs now! I’ve got a gun and I am not afraid to use it.. *stupid grin*
