Re: Addicted to Love... (Reply to this comment)

I did think of a few other titles to slip into Honorable Mention, although I haven't seen Sweet Smell of Success...which is why it wasn't mentioned. Speaking of older films though, I did mention The Trouble with Harry which is a classic! Darn! Just thought of two more. The Couch Trip and The End. ~grumblegrumble~ As for Addicted to Love, I've managed to share that little lovely with all my friends and they adore it! 'Course, they are also all women, Hmmm. Favorite line from that one: "Don't you know any happy stories?" Hehehe By the way, have you done this list yet? I'd love to take a peek at Your dark list. :)

Thanks, I'll have to check it out. I haven't seen any of the films you mentioned, which is why you didn't see them anywhere in this review. :)

Amused to see this one on your list. I'm one of the few people I know who really enjoys the heck outta this movie. I think it's the kind of movie Billy Wilder would make today, only a bit less. That's why I'd add some older black comedies to your list, like anything Wilder, or Sweet Smell of Success, or any number of other things.
But it's *your* list and you do a great job with it...

of my favorites. I adore To Die For more than ANY other comedy I've ever seen. Nicole Kidman is evil. I also have a soft spot for Heathers (which you mentioned), Jawbreaker, American Psycho, and even the completely icky Very Bad Things. If you haven't seen To Die For, I highly recommend it!
