Well, I know that this is in NYC so $140 for a room isn't going to get you what you would outside of the city but man, you don't get much! I saw the pictures for this place on the web and it looked pretty decent. But as we walked down 34th and saw this place, we became frightened. They were ripping up the carpets in the entire place so all the floors were torn up and there was new and old carpet rolled up against the walls and all over the floors...

Checked in at the front desk and walked down the hallway that was so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. Finally found our room after the non-English speaking cleaning lady lead us the wrong way. The room, well, was ok, I guess. No chain lock on the door. A small and hard bed. Room in the bathroom for - seriously - only one person. Little black flies flying around in the shower. And the lighting was so bad that one may need a flashlight at times. Decent TV and a desk that the TV was on - so if one wanted to do work on it, it was impossible. and the best thing of all, (brace yourself) a used condom right outside our window! what a dump!
