The Bottom Line: I would not recommend Home Free to anyone , due to the driver problems.

I had problems from the minute I opened the box. Installation went without a problem. But when I went to use the network ,nothing worked. I tried the install again but still nothing worked. After about 3 weeks of messing with drivers, I was able to share files, printer and internet connection. The internet connection was very slow and would disconnect, requiring you to sign in the desktop to the internet, then sign in the other computer on the network. If you can get it to work you can choose to password protect files, but sending a file or opening a shared file takes along time. Sharing the printer was so frustrating that I took Home Free out of the desktop and all software connected with Home Free. The laptop had to be restored to factory installed software, to get rid of Home Free. The best thing I can say about this product ... the artwork on the box is nice.
