Days Inn, a good roadside choice
Written: Jun 26 '01
Pros:Minimum standard (unlike an independant motel) reasonable prices
Cons:Standards do vary a lot from location to location
The Bottom Line: Great for an overnight stop, just don't plan a weeks vacation there
I have stayed at Days Inn's 3 times now and I will be honest and say my experience has varied considerably. We are not fussy guests, price is a major factor in our choice and with Days Inn's the price has always been right. The facilities vary from nothing to pools and free breakfasts, so check beofre you hand over your credit card.
Our best experience was at Days Inn Vancouver, BC. It was modestly priced but included a breakfast credit and they had a bellboy and valet parking (small extra charge but is was in downtown).
The cribs are provided free of charge and they are safe to use (we've been offered some really dodgy contraptions by some chains), there are no charges for young children but this varys by property.
If you are on the road and need an overnight stop it is a good choice for the budget concious consumer, just make sure you stop by a Dennys or McDonalds en route for a voucher book though as they often have coupons for Days Inn.
I wouldn't want to spend a week there but a night or two, you can't go far wrong.
