The Paris Commune: No French Fare But Fantastique French Toast
by Epicure | Oct 05 '02
Traditional brunch favorites skillfully prepared. Hearty but not overwhelming. Located in one of Manhattan's most "neighborhoody" neighborhoods - great area to walk off a satisfying meal. Crackling fireplace in winter.

I wasn't aware of this place. I'll definitely have to check it out, which shouldn't be too hard since this is my favourite neighbourhood and I am often in the area.

By the way, I'm a crispy edges eater too :-)

Hey Barbara,

I'll be leaving this weekend (finally!). The weeks preceding a vacation are always so exhausting just trying to wrap up all the significant projects and deals at work, so I can enjoy my vacation. We'll be starting our trip in Aix en Provence. I remember reading your review of that lovely town. Can't wait to check out the local market. We'll probably head into Marseille as well to have bouillabaisse. If you have any specific recommendations, please email me.

Thanks,

Epicure :)

if only for the eggs Benedict and French toast, my tow favorite breakfasts or brunch when I go out....As a matter of fact, it is now 10:17 A.M. Sunday morning and as soon as I finish this comment I'm going to make my own version of French toast since I'm nowhere near the "The Paris Commune", though that would be very very nice indeed..

Oh and by the way, when do you leave for France?
There will be lots of good eating during that trip. I'm sure.

Thanks and take care
