You ain't heard nothin' yet!

Life and Love...what a lovely thing to say.

But I hope the words LICE and LAME which are also four letter words starting with "L" and ending with "E", do NOT get attached!

I'm sorry I have such a weird sense of humor. I got it from my father. Jude

Jo-thanks for your comment. I know I am lucky, I'm not so sure about Mom, having me. The big day will be in Tennessee, and I won't even be there. Sniff. Jude

I just had to drop in and check on you. As usual, a wonderful example of your natural talent, this tribute to a wonderful person in all our lives. Yes, Virginia ('Mom' to you :), is everything Mrs. Dowd believed and more... in my opinion. And, yes. I've returned-- if only to join in Granniemose's Birthday Bash, at this time. Couldn't miss such a fantastically special extravaganza like that, now could I? :)

I'll be emailing you my response, shortly. Thanks for the invite... and thanks for a very entertaining 'tale' of how one of the sweetest, kindest, and most beautiful personalities I've ever known 'came to be'... fictional or not, it fits her to a 'T'.

Take care,

Rouchelle

. . . certainly led an adventurous life.

Life and love - two four-letter words that each begin with "L" and end with "E".

May they ever be linked for you and your Mom.

Nicely done.

Well - This is a Surprise (Reply to this comment)
by Granniemose
I was dumbfounded when this showed up on my Email notification list. What an amazing story. I should have known you were there, even though I don't remember seeing you. (chuckle) Of course, I remember it as being the most embarrassing day of my life, laying there all nekkid with people waiting to spank my little behind and that gooey stuff all over me.

I think you probably got a good grasp on what might have happened, although your great grandma is probably whirling in her grave at the thought of her smoking a pipe. It was my great grandmother (her mother) Grandma Partridge who smoked a tiny little corn cob pipe because her doctor told her it would cure her rheumatism. She always smoked it in private, although I caught her when I was just a tiny tot. Of course, now I know that what started out as medicinal became a habit over the years.

Great story, Jude, although don't knock yourself out over this birthday thing. If I don't get one more review, I won't complain because the ones that have been dedicated to my birthday have been so outstanding, and so much more then I deserve.

Thank you, honey. I love you.

Mom

Babies shaking hands (Reply to this comment)

My neice (who is 4 months old today) and I frequently "shake hands". She always gets this really big smile on her face when it happens too...she is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Your mother must be so proud. These are just the kind of things that make Epinions such a great place to be.

Life is stranger than fiction..or something like that but whether this is true or not I so envy the relationship you have with your mom. I don't have to tell you to treasure it because you do. You are both very, very lucky, Jude.. I bet Granniemose really can't wait for the big day! jo
