Rude/abrupt service people; "call you right back" didn't happen for at least 2 hours. Address is a mail-drop; all the warning flags are there. Decided not to order after some research into company, owners, and their secrecy.
What I found (from court and SEC records): Jomashop's "address" (303 Park Ave S) is evidently a UPS store that rents PO boxes and does mail forwarding (other previous addresses were also mail-drop stores). Jomashop is owned by Zucker's Gifts at 151 W. 26th St (212-989-1518 - and just a few blocks from the UPS store), which is owned by Marvin Sternberg, who has two sons, Joseph and Mark. (Figured out where "JoMa" comes from, yet?) All three are directors of a (public) abrasives-supply company called "Moyco" (moycotech.com) outside of Philadelphia. Zabasearch.com is helpful for phone #s and addresses - there's a Marvin E. in Villanova, PA, as well as Palm Beach Gardens, FL, which jibes with SEC filings.
Jomashop has an "unsatisfactory" rating with the Better Business Bureau, due to unresolved customer complaints. Many customers report very bad experiences getting problems resolved, returning defective merchandise, getting repairs taken care of, etc. Also, several people have suggested that the glowing ratings at Yahoo, etc., may have been "seeded" by ... persons unknown.
(The above is purely my opinion, may contain factual errors, and is offered purely as personal opinion and speech.)
