I wrote a comment on this beautiful review before, but apparently it didn't make it. I am
sorry - I wasn't home before, and I am trying hard to catch up.
Letta, this article is so great, and I thank you so very much. Certainly we all need to think more about what is actually the most important part of our life...
Where is God? Certainly he was around and had a smile when you entered the world.
I thank you, my friend, for dedicating this to the birthday bash. It is beautifully written, and just wonderful to have you back on Epinions again.

...It might have made the ensuing 3 decades of existential crisis less intense!
When I was a kid, in a fundamentalist church, teen questions of that nature weren't encouraged, and received raised eyebrows rather than answers.
I think this piece is profound and powerful for people of any age!

My thoughts are often with you and I hope that while enduring these difficult times, you find comfort in your beliefs. God means many different things to many different people, as I have learned traveling around the world, and it doesn't matter as long as those beliefs evoke only the good in mankind.

I say prayers for you and your husband all the time. Ever since you left me that comment about you taking care of him. Honestly, I did not know anything about it before.
I know what you are going through. My husband was 41 and he too had a stroke. It was a long hard road for me as Mom had a stroke soon after. I lost a brother soon after that.
The cards were hard to deal but I made it through. People were praying for me.
Glad to see you back Letta.

I was having problems awhile back mixing up Grandgram and GrannieMose in my mind. I am so sorry about your husband and will pray for you and yours.
I loved this article. It shows such an active mind, for should we believe things blindly or seek for them? I think, personally, that worthwhile things don't fall in our laps, we must seek them and then, hopefully, we'll find them. And as Di said, what greater quest could there be in life?
