That's such a good idea, the secret password! Kind of like a "pin" number for your child, huh?

We have a secret word ~ each child has a different one. They are personal and private and they are to NEVER go with someone who can't give their password. They know the ONLY way an adult would have the password would be if Mom told it to them.

and doesn't have the slightest idea of how truly evil people can be. I supposed that's a good thing as it is pure innocence, however, it terrifies me. One day when I took a bathroom break he took off. I assumed he was in this room, but 5 minutes later a neighbor came to my door with him. I thank God for that woman who asked my son if he could show her where he lived. I had a meltdown and tried to convey to my child why he wasn't to run out on his own. He seems to get it, but I'm not about to let my guard down.
I appreciate your tips, thank you.

Sadly, a small bunch of rotten apples is creating this problem. No longer can a stranger truly say hello to a child.
Tell your child to yell, scream and RUN if they are ever approached by a stranger who looks suspicious.
Now that Halloween is coming up, NEVER visit homes you are not familiar with. Go only to homes you know.
Good job Suzanne!

Most Helpful in this topic, but that looks like the way to bet.
