Cheap Tickets offers a variety of travel reservations services including car rentals, hotels, cruises, and of course, airline flights. They frequently offer specials which they highlight on their site.
I found out about CheapTickets.com about a year ago. I needed to go to Denver, and the ticket prices from Palm Springs to Denver were very expensive. All of the itineraries that CheapTickets offered from Palm Springs to Denver were more expensive that what it usually costs to fly to Denver. I took the cheapest price that showed up.
Prior to paying for the ticket on CheapTickets.com, I called up the airline to see if they could give me a better price for the same ticket. For the exact same seats, times, and dates, the ticket was $600.00 more.
I received my ticket two days later via Airborne Express. I was very impressed that I received my ticket so quickly.
After my flight, I received a letter from the airline which I traveled on saying that I could not receive frequent flyer miles for the trip. When I called up and asked why, they told me that they do not award frequent flyer miles for tickets purchased by wholesale ticket agencies.
I have recently been booking several airline tickets for both vacation and business. I have found that for international flights, CheapTickets prices are not as cheap as I thought they would be. I can get a cheaper price on United. For some of my flights to the east coast, CheapTickets was not as cheap as American was. When I went to check again for ticket fares to Denver, CheapTickets had the exact same price as United. So, their ticket prices really vary, which I suppose is expected.
Overall, I would recommend CheapTickets. I don't think that CheapTickets offers true bargain tickets though. Before you book your next flight, besides checking at CheapTicckets, be sure to stop by HotWire (http://www.hotwire.com), Expedia (http://www.expedia.com), and Travelocity (http://www.travelocity.com).
