I decided to use the CVS online service in early November after spending countless days in their stores in October. October, they had 6 unlimited Extra Care Buck items. I took advantage of this deal heavily. ECB are 48 hour rebates after you make an initial purchase. The only thing is once they are issued, they expire in a month. I had 3 that were about to expire and I wanted to see if I could take advantage of the last days of the unlimited ECBs.
CVS decided that my online orders were not within their program parameters. They advised me on 11/5 to deny the three shipments when they are due for delivery on 11/7 to make sure I get my $6 shipping charge per order back. I did so.
I checked the UPS website and confirmed that they had been returned. I called 2 weeks later and asked if they had processed the return. I was told that the warehouse shows they have not received it even though I had proof that they had.
Patiently, I waited another week and a half and called back. I was told the same story. Concerned that CVS may sit on these returns, I filed disputes with my creditor on three orders.
Today, I called 5 weeks after they were returned. The CVS.com department told me that they just processed the credit two business days ago and it would show up on my next credit card statement. I asked about ECBS and they basically didn't know what to do. I politely ended the conversation, called the 800 number again and spoke to the ECB department.
After I explained everything, the CSR asked me to hold and spoke to her supervisor. I was told that to get my ECBs back, I needed to return it to the store (which contradicted what the .com told me). I asked then to speak to someone about this because I was in the middle and I had done nothing wrong. She put me on hold again and spoke to her supervisor. She asked for all type of information related to the order, researched it and issued the $6x.00 ECB to me. She stated that I should have returned it to the store. I told her that there was a 4th order that I did return to the store because I didn't pay shipping on it. I informed her that I was given a hassle and problems when I returned that order to the store.
I am now waiting 48 hours for my ECB to arrive on my account. I will not be using CVS.com because their departments do not communicate with each other and it is more of a hassle than worth the effort.
