Pros: Blazing, stays cool, and can handle most anything.
Cons: Pricey opposed to ATI.
The Bottom Line: Buries a Radeon in all aspects other than price. Quality and quantity in one package.

| hayzeus's Full Review: Leadtek WinFast GeForce 2 GTS |
There comes a time in every gamers' heart to upgrade their card. That first time, when you manage to take advantage of that blazing, dedicated AGP slot most lamens don't know about. There's also that first time a gamer can run a First Person Shooter and get a frag when they thought they would be a n00b their whole life. The nVidia does just that. nVidia is completely graphically oriented, delivering in every application you put their cards through. They are stuck in the fastest laptops, used by countless digital movie studios, and selected by graphical artists world-wide. Gaming performance by this particular card is bar none.
You open the Leadtek box, and are presented with a comfortable layout of the card, contained in a usual magnetic repellent bag, enclosed in gray styrofoam. The manual is very easy to read, and the driver cds are very easy to find and install. Installing the card is a snap, provided you are comfortable enought to venture in that big, case of yours. If not, just get a geeky friend to do it.
The geForce2 GTS 32mb version supports OpenGL like no other. The amount of data this beast can render is just amazing. I don't need to start off on a number rant cause half of you won't know what I'm talking about. If your just a spread-sheet using, word processing nut, worry about the resolution you can set your monitor at and the refresh rate that is supported. The Leadtek is completely flicker-free, with no distortion. The chipset is a 256 bit monster. If you are a gamer, expect unusually high fps, with wonderfully delicious effects and explosions. When you DO get the card, download 3dMark2000, 3d gaming benchmarking software. The memory is a plentiful 32mb, easy to overclock with the huge cooling fan supported ONLY by Leadtek. The s-video out is a very cool feature, and comes with the cables you need to play Quake 3 on that new flat screen HDTV you just bought :)
Gamers unite, this card is your angel from god. 170 dollars can get you 100+ fps easy, with all the settings set to max, on 1024 reso. Most OpenGL games I have played max out the fps at 100. This info comes from a 850mhz Athlon, with 256mb of mem. You CAN achieve the same results from a slower machine, provided you optomize your machine on a regular basis, and keep the memory free.
I recommend this card to ALL gamers, and graphic hungry web designers. The card suits map-makers, and photoshop mavens. For the price, yeah, it might be more expensive than a Radeon, but go to www.sharyextreme.com and look at the benchmarks yourself. The Radeon can't even touch what the nVidia puts out. An excellent investment for all PC owners, the geForce2 GTS delivers just as nVidia users have been used to.
