I've found out that Overstock.com is the master of the bait and switch. I've tried to get products from there marked way down only to be told, "Oh we've been out of that for days. We cancelled your order to prevent you from getting the product for the same price once it's back in stock.

to file a dispute with Mastercard.

Most credit card companies offer a dispute service when dealing with online companies. I was actually able to get Visa to rebut a charge from Ebay when the person didn't send my item, they did some research with the info I provided... found in my favor and refunded my money.

Sorry that you had to go through that... it's enough to never make me look at the O again!

The only thing I have ordered from them was Harry Potter 6 and it arrived quickly. Then again their headquarters is just a few blocks away.

Of course we are talking about a company whose CEO stated in public that the Sith Lords are holding down his stock price...makes you wonder.

So far, I've been lucky with Overstock. but there are other sites I definitely prefer over it. Sorry you had a bad experience.
