Pros:Cuts through EVERYTHING. Smells great. Soft on hands.
Cons:More expensive than competing brands.
The Bottom Line: If you are bad at doing dishes this is the best soap in the world OR if you just love stuff that smells great.
I REALLY hate doing dishes. In fact I hate housework period which is probabaly why I like Method so much. It's been making my life easier! I never figured a dish soap could make my life get better but I was mistaken. Take it from me THIS STUFF works better than anything I've ever used. And I've tried them ALL!!! I have a nasty habit of cooking Kraft Dinner or a knockoff and leaving the leftovers in the pot for a day or 2 on the stove. Then when it's time to clean the pot I've got a BIG mess. I've read several reviews here that say they don't like using method dish soap if they use the wand with the soap inside. This is probably because of the fact that Method dish soap generates fewer suds. I don't find this to be an issue however, I do find that the product works far better when it's used in a little bit (not necessarily a full sink full) of hot water versus being dispensed from the wand. I do my dishes with one of those wands primarily because I don't have a second sink and I have found that my dishes still come very clean. But I do have to agree that it works better in the sink. So these days, I find, I'm just running the water and keeping the water in the sink while i do the dishes - but STILL using the scrubber.
A little bit seems to go a long way with Method - The bottle shown here lasted almost 3 months and I don't have dishwasher so ALL of my dishes are done by hand. Granted I live alone so my dishes are limited.
Method dish soap smells incredibly good. I've tried cucumber and grapefruit and still want to try lavender. I usually use whatever scent I'm currently using to clean my house. Right now I'm on a lavender kick so my next bottle will be lavender. The smell is enough to make you WANT to do the dishes. It does not linger on the dishes and rinses well - actually it rinses extremely fast and leaves dishes absolutely sparkling. The soap, seems to literrally attract grease. As far as that nasty macaraoni pot - it's sure no match - I don't even have to soak it! Give it 2 - 5 minutues in water and put the scrubber on it with a bit of method and it sparkles!
On top of getting my dishes clean my hands even get soft. Method dish soap appears to have a very similar formulation to the hand soap. I was initially very hesitant to buy this soap - since at around $4.99cdn a bottle it's more than double the price of competing brands. But I'm so pleased with this soap that I've bought keep buying and have convinced several of my friends to buy it too! They like it just as much as I do.
