The Bottom Line Travelocity is easy-to-use, offers the best prices, and gives you many options. Advanced flight searches can really save you money.

Being a busy mom to a 3 year old, I want flexibility so I can get home as soon as possible from business trips. And for personal trips, I want to save as much money as I can. Travelocity has always given me the best of both worlds. Their interface is easy to use, showing as many options as I want. Their advanced search feature saves me money because it shows alternate airports and flight dates/times. I find the site fast as well, and have never been frozen out during a transaction. I like that I can pick my own seats and see which seats are already taken.
Having used traditional travel agents for years, and trying most other travel sites, this one is my favorite. Travel agents do a great job, but you often will not be presented with every option available. This may not be a problem when your schedule is flexible, but if you want information, Travelocity provides it.
Some tips: Use the advanced flight option when you have a flexible schedule and you are looking for a bargain. Do not use the "hold reservation" feature if the price is ideal--it often goes up by the time you book the flight (because the cheaper fares sell out the fastest). The best prices seem to come up in the late evenings.
Happy travels!
