While making such a significant contribution to one's community may be beyond the capabilities of most people, there's certainly a lesson here for everyone: whether you teach at an inner city school or volunteer an hour a month to read to old people, voluntarism really does make a significant positive difference in our communities.

.......what one can do with their life, even if it's just for a year or two. It can help those who need the service and the giver gains so much.
