Very Pleasing Stays

Written: Jul 03 '01
Pros:Very spacious rooms, excellent value, free breakfast.
Cons:No pool.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend Embassy Suites, it is affordable luxury.

I have stayed at embassy suites many times, every time I was greatly satisfied. My most recent stay was at a New York City Embassy Suites in the financial district. I'm not sure about the business acommodations of the hotel, just that it has several meeting rooms, but for going on a leisure trip as I did, it was excellent.
The price was extremely good, about $100 a night for one room with four people. Across the street, a Radisson cost over $180. The price of my stay was especially good considering that it was in New York City in an area that was close to everything, the room had an ocean view, and the hotel was a block away from the subway.
The hotel decor was very modern and contemporary, the furniture must've cost a fortune. There was a huge atrium with the restaurant, movie theater, and bar at the bottom. The gym was 20,000 square feet.
As with all of my stays at Embassy suites, the rooms were very spacious. They consisted of two rooms: a living/dining room with a fold-out sofa bed, desk, and a TV, and a bedroom, with a queen bed, huge closet, a vanity, a TV, and a window. At all of my stays, the breakfast was excellent. There was always fresh fruit, an omlette bar, pancakes, waffles, etc. All of the food was delicious, you don't have to go elsewhere to eat breakfast.
In conclusion, I am very pleased with Embassy Suites and I will most likely continue to stay there in the future.
