Ease of Use:
Pros:Can use with any car seat, reclines fully
Cons:Bulky and heavy
The Bottom Line: Useful in combination with any infant seat, but you'd better have a big trunk!
I bought this stroller because it works with our infant seat, the Britax Handle With Care, which does not have the snap-in feature most infant seats have. The Britax fits securely in this stroller using the straps and by tucking the back rocker under the snap bar.
Because the Britax does not have the snapping mechanism, the Snap-N-Go was not an option for us. Additionally, we felt it would be better to have a stroller that was still a stroller when we were no longer using the infant seat.
It works well so far. I use the perfect match infant seat cover & canopy cover and with this installed, the stroller and infant seat are...well, a perfect match. It looks like we bought them together.
When in use with our infant seat, the canopies come together like a clam shell to completely enclose my daughter. This is helpful when she's sleeping or when the sun is to my back and would otherwise be in her eyes.
A feature I wasn't aware of when buying this is that it reclines fully. This has been very helpful when we use this stroller without the infant seat, as my daughter can nap and not be all scrunched up like she would be in other strollers that claim to recline but do so only partially.
My husband and I are both tall and we find this stroller comfortable to use - the handle is high enough and we don't often kick the back axle when walking.
We only use this stroller on car trips. I keep it in my trunk at all times. We have an Emmaljunga Viking for strolls around the neighborhood. This arrangement suits us. However, our neighbor uses her Combi Perfect Match (with an Evenflo infant seat) as her full-time stroller and likes it fine for both car trips and neighborhood strolls.
Now for the downsides. The most significant problem we have with this stroller is its sheer bulk. It folds up, but not to a small package, and it takes up most of my cargo space (I have a Volvo V40 wagon.) I find it difficult to get in and out of the car because of its size and weight. Folding it up is a bit of a hassle, even once I figured out how to do it (the front wheels have to be perfectly aligned with the back.) And I would never travel by air with this stroller. (In fact, I'm on epinions looking for a third stroller for vacation use!)
I am not a big fan of the basket underneath the stroller. I believe it's supposed to slide in and out like a drawer but I've never been able to get this to work on mine. Also, when the seat is reclined, as it must be to use with the infant seat, the basket is nearly inaccessible. It does hold my diaper bag, which is large, but only on its side, and nothing else can fit with it.
Overall, this stroller has been worth the $100+ to us for our daughter's first 20 pounds, but it may not be for everyone.
UPDATE: My daughter's arm became stuck between the seat back and frame this weekend when I raised the seat from reclining to sitting up. It didn't hurt her, only scared both of us. I don't know if this is a problem with all strollers but I am reporting it to Combi and the CPSC.
