Pros: Strong and absorbent.
Cons: None really.
The Bottom Line: While maybe not surpassing others, Scott Napkins are just as good.

Scott is not a brand name I usually purchase. But after trying their paper towels, I figured I might as well try the napkins too. After all, a napkin is just a napkin, right?
The Scott Napkins come in a variety of package sizes. I purchased the 400 count, which ran me about $3. Besides the store brands or generics, napkins usually are around the same price, give or take a bit. I try not to get my panties in a bunch over a few quarters, so I often splurge and go with brand names.
These are standard sized one-ply plain white napkins. Scott claims they are not only strong and absorbent, but that they are the strongest family napkin as well. Now I am at a total lose as to what would even qualify as a family napkin, but now I am wondering if I have spent years using non-family napkins. Maybe that explains my dysfunctional family better than any other theory I have had.
In about a week's time I have been using these napkins for all I can think of. They have been used during dinner, for cleaning up messes and spills in the kitchen, for drying hands, for my runny nose the other day, and for cleaning. They have shown to stand up to moderate amounts of liquids and foods. They also withstood my sneezing, though tissues are much gentler on the nose.
In terms of strong and absorbent, Scott lives up to the claim. Do they surpass other brands of napkins, well whose to say. I do not notice any sizable difference with average, normal use. They do not feel as rough as some others do, which is nice for use during dinner or for drying wet hands in the kitchen. My dining room decor is all earthy tones, so I stick with plain white napkins instead of printed ones to keep the look. Often you can find various prints to spice things up if you want.
Would I buy Scott Napkins again? Sure, they are good napkins that come in handy for all sorts of things. I would not go out of my way to find them if unavailable at the first location I was at. And I may pass them up for something cheaper, but I would not have any problem using these in my home again. After all, only the best family napkin for my family.
