Okay, I do like the games that came with my Nokia 7110. But better I like how functional this phone is. It was a replacement for a lost Motorola StarTac. Then Nokia is easier to use, has a lot more features (somebody should achieve sainthood for the roller button), and the connections I get in the same rural areas are much better with the Nokia.
I will tell you that if you get the Nokia a little out of position while holding it to your head you won't be able to hear it and it sounds like you have a very poor connection.
I've not used the web features or the I.R. features yet, but a friend has exactly the same phone and he insists that when I finally do hook it all the way up I will be very impressed and wonder what I did without all the new techno gadgetry.
I work in a production environment and the phone gets misused, dropped, and banged up frequently. To date I've not experienced any problems with it.
I did purchase a retractable ear piece and phone holder from Staples. This gadget was not durable enough to stand up to the abuse. I don't recommend those for people who are hard on their phones. But, the phone has stood up very well.
As for the battery, I've had excellent luck with it. The battery far outlasts my StarTac (even with the extra battery). I generally use my Nokia all day and recharge it every night.
