Be careful trying to move plants to other states
by totalfive
One thing to keep in mind if you plan on trying to have movers transport your plants across state lines is that many states are not to pleased about plants coming into it's state. Movers http://www.1866umoving.com have to go through inspection stations and If they look into the truck and see plants there is a very good chance the truck will get put in quarantined.

We've had mixed luck with moving plants

some tolerate being moved pretty well, and others don't do well at all. Your review provides good advice that should improve survival rates for those moving houseplants.

I needed this a month ago!

We only moved across town, but it was very cold out, and we had a houseplant that rests nicely atop an armoire and two bookshelves...now because of the way we traumatized it, it only rests atop the armoire and one bookshelf.

Nice article.

I'll take it to heart next time.
