And that's the bottom line, if ya smell, what the King of Rock is cooking!

Horrible Techno (Reply to this comment)

Couldnt agree with you more on that Dirty Vegas song. I used to listen to techno but this song has to be one of the worst I have ever heard. It becoming popular because of that Mitsubushi commercial goes to show you the mass-marketing machine called the media.

I'll miss Layne the most (Reply to this comment)

I think that AIC was doomed for so long, and it is interesting how much hype there was around Cobain's death (my sister calls him the pop top), vs Layne's, which seemed to pass like a whisper in the night.

"If, I --- Could ---- Would ---- You?"

Very amusing column! (Reply to this comment)

I'm actually too much of a wuss to try to write reviews, but I lurk around here in Music often, and I've gotta say that this column is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on this site. And it's completely true - I don't see the point of Coldplay at all, How You Remind Me is grotesque, and John Mayer - what appropriate adjective for him? - he just SUCKS. Keep 'em coming - these columns give me some hope for the future of music in America.

Nice way to mix your Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin tag lines in the bottom line. Great review as well.

First two times I heard Days Go By was in the movie theater. No song that I've ever heard for the first time there has ever made it to my CD collection. However, imitating it has actually been fun, especially with how he starts the word "DAYS" way too early, you can practically squeeze three notes (daaYYYAAaayys go by) before the actual line is supposed to start, according to the beat anyway. Then you just gotta kind of sing like someone's pinching your nose shut and give it a sort of breathy, on-the-verge-of-coughing sound.

Dashboard Confessional (Reply to this comment)

is probably more annoying than any other act on MTV right now. I've heard their song "Screaming Infidelities" played live on MTV about every 5 seconds, and when Chris Carraba tries to sound tortured, he looks like someone gave him a swift kick in the nuts.
