The last part, especially (the poem and the final words) express many of the same feelings that came across in this poem.

Perhaps because I had referred someone else to this bit of writing here recently--or, perhaps, just because it was time to--I thought of this special man just yesterday and wished that I knew where he was and if he were even still alive.

He's a really wonderful person--one person I won't forget--and, back when I first met him, he had a lot of wonderful dreams.

If I were with him now, I'd ask him about those dreams and encourage him to fulfil as many of them as possible, because they were dreams that would make a difference in a lot of lives--especially, the lives of kids!
