Item Promised but Never delivered After 2 months-Difficulty Obtaining Refund

I made my purchase on October 22nd on a digital photo keychain. I received 8 form letter e-mails contacting me to let me know my order was being processed and would be sent directly from the manufacturer. After several attempts at contacting them through the website, they assured me my order would be delivered soon. One week before Christmas (two months later) I received an e-mail from them notifying me that they no longer carried the item I had ordered and that it was now discontinued. Without ample time to find a similar item to replace this Christmas gift, I was left in a very awkward and precarious position. That was not the only problem I encountered, I also experienced difficulty obtaining my refund. Although they deducted my credit card immediately in October the night I made my purchase, I had to contact them to get my refund. And they charged shipping on an item I never received and did NOT refund it until I wrote two unsuccessful e-mails and then finally had to call them. It was a lot of work and effort with absolutely no compensation or a positive outcome. Not even an apology for their poor business practices.
