Avon brand Skin So Soft is personally a dream come true . For some mosquitos are not a problem . However , my family spends as much time as possible in the great outdoors . My children are way more prone to mosquito bites than I am and therefore I have to keep Repellent on them constantly . Many people are unaware that the original Skin So Soft lotion works as a mosquito repellent . The bottle does not claim this , but us backwards people know . Most , mosquito repellents come with DEET in them . This is a harmful chemicle to children that has even caused the death in some small children . So , it poses a problem as to what to do for my lids . Mosquito bites in themself are dangerous , causing life threatening disease , while the repellents aren't safe either . So , I use the Skin So Soft brand to cut out on the worry of more known brands . The lotion is not water proof , but what does that matter as you can reapply as often as needed without health issues . The smell is really obnoxious to me , but I have read a few opinions where they liked the smell , so perhaps it will be okay for you . Unfortunately , I used all of ours on The Fourth Of July picnic , so I can't write the ingredients of this product in this review . Avon products come in several ranging sizes and they even carry bug repellents . To me their prices are fair and the most expensive item they carry in this category sells for twelve dollars .
