After writing about the best and the worst music in 2002 it’s time to check out the best writers here at Epinions in 2002. There were quite a few new members who showed us just how talented they were at writing this year, some great writers quit the site and some great writers kept on writing good reviews. Here are the best writers in 2002. Best Writers 2002: 1. KristinaFH 2. TheVoid99 3. Lambchops 4. Cletta1201 5. Paulyoungotti KristinaFH has ever since my very first day at Epinions been my favorite writer. The Queen of Pop wrote hundreds of wonderful reviews in 2002; I enjoyed all of them a whole lot. I particularly remember when she dissed O-Town (for VERY good reason) and told us all how much she loves Christina Aguilera. TheVoid99, the official Nine Inch Nails Spokesman at Epinions got the kudos he deserved this year, and he has consistently throughout 2002 written high quality music reviews for us all to enjoy. I remember so many of his reviews, and I especially loved his review of David Bowie’s “Heathen”. Lambchops, one of the Leads in Music wrote a lot of great reviews as well, mostly on bands I’ve never heard of, but that just makes it more exciting. Thanks to this woman I discovered the White Stripes, and that’s more than enough to get her on my list. Cletta1201, our very own Supasoulsista showed us just how talented she is at writing music reviews this year. She’s concise and right to the point and that’s what I love about her reviews. Check out all of her reviews; I particularly love her Lil Kim diss and the fact that she’s the one that made me like RES. Paulyoungotti, the hip hop prince from Great Britain also came into the spotlight this year with a whole bunch of great reviews on hip hop music. Little did I know about hip hop before Paul came along and came with advice on what hip hop music I should check out; thanks to him I know a little bit more now than before. Choosing my favorite reviews from this guy is hard as heck; so I would advise you to check out all of them. Best Pop Writers 1. KristinaFH 2. Ez013182 3. Itztru 4. Flamepillar 5. Freak369 Ever since she came to Epinions three years ago, KristinaFH has been The Queen of Pop, with no competition. 2002 she continued writing great pop reviews, and even those who don’t like pop can’t help fall in love with Kristinas honesty and fun-to-read reviews. Ez013182 is the male counterpart of Kristina. He doesn’t write too often, but when he finally does it’s always great to read his reviews, and see what he thinks of all the latest pop albums. Itztru, our very own Princess of Pop doesn’t write very often either, but the reviews she posts are always high quality and they’re fun to read. It’s nice to get another teens perspective on pop. Flamepillar, Mr. Congeniality has a lot of kick@$$ pop reviews, and that’s all I have to say about him. Freak369 only gave us a few pop reviews this year, but the reviews Freak wrote are some of the best I’ve read this year. Best Rock Writers 1. MattA75 2. PacmanY2J 3. Lambchops 4. TheVoid99 5. Stairway2Drew MattA75 is the brutally honest, and though we may not agree on the fact that Linkin Park sucks, I usually agree with him on most albums. Whenever I want a new rock album, I check out MattA75 and see what he thinks of the album. And I’ve yet to be dissatisfied with an album he’s recommended. PacmanY2J is incredibly similar to Matt in many ways, and they seem to have the same tastes in music as well. Even though they often write on the same album, Matt #2 (Pacman) always writes something completely different in his opinion, and it’s great to read if Matt #1 was right or not. Lambchops, our dear music lead always writes on albums I haven’t heard of. It’s fun to read her reviews, and if she gives an album 5 stars, I always make sure to download a song from that album to see if I like it as well. And that’s the way I discovered The White Stripes :) TheVoid99 is one of the most detailed writers on this site. He has a lot of reviews, so if you’re looking for a good rock album, you can be sure he has reviewed it. Stairway2Drew is another great writer, and you simply have to check out his interviews with various Epinions writers. They’re very pleasant reads. Best Hip-Hop Writers 1. Paulyoungotti 2. Ekidd911 3. Boffie 4. Madtheory 5. DVON Paulyoungotti, another 17 year old from Great Britain wrote a whole lot of high quality reviews this year. I didn’t know anything about rap in 2001, but thanks to this guy I’ve learned what rap music is good and what rap music is bad. And I also like the fact that he didn’t like the Snoop Dogg album Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told, it’s one of the few rap albums I’ve heard and I don’t like it either. So uh.. him and I agree on something :) Ekidd911 and Boffie both wrote kick@$$ reviews, and well, basically that’s all I have to say about them. Madtheory was still the King of Hip-Hop in 2002, and wrote a bunch of great reviews, as well as creating urbanelements together with Cletta1201. DVON also gave us lots of great reviews. Yup. No need for more words there. Best R&B/Soul Writers 1. Cletta1201 2. Monnie1976 3. Speeddemon531 4. Roheblius 5. Gamblinfamily Cletta1201 was a girl I hadn’t even heard of before this summer. In only a few months she’s grown to be one of my favorite writers on the site, and she always have great reviews on the R&B albums that I like. And if I haven’t heard about the albums she writes on, I make sure to download them. We have very similar tastes (i.e. except for J.Lo). Monnie1976 is another great writer. She’s got reviews on most mainstream R&B albums, and if I’m not quite sure if I want to buy an album or not, I’ll check out this girl. Speeddemon531 is a newcomer this year, and he’s sure managed to establish himself in a very short amount of time. With his refreshing reviews he’s always a good read. It’s a lot harder than it seems, and I had huge problems coming up with anything creative at all.
